This unit has a fuelbox upgrade. The fuelbox can use either gel cans or liquid alcohol.
As you can see from the cut-outs above, this super upgrade makes this special fireplace a very attractive addition to any room. The convenience of being able to switch from gel can to liquid alcohol is an upgrade that will soon be sweeping the industry. The fuelbox capacity is 1 liter of fuel. The normal burntime is 2.5 - 3.5 hours. This upgrade allows for year round use. Slightly open the sliding door damper on the fuelbox and this unit will only put off 1500 btu/h. That small amount of heat will not effect your rooms temperature as much as it is for a mood setting fire in the summer months. Fully open the damper and you will be able to generate as much as 13,000 btu/h. That amount of heat will keep a 10 X 12 room with eight foot ceilings very warm even on the coldest winter night.
